ActiveCampaign review | a leader in email automation

ActiveCampaign has been around since 2003 but has begun to be recognized by small to mid-sized businesses as a leader in the email automation space.

The pricing model is one of the best we’ve seen – starting at $7.65/mo (paid annually) – and offers features only seen on enterprise level automation platforms.

ActiveCampaign is different then say your traditional email marketing solution in that you can automate email delivery based on user interaction.

User interactions can include a wide range of things including clicks on email, pages visited on your website, purchases, etc.

THE GOOD /

  • Ease of setting up automation
  • Affordable Pricing

THE BAD /

  • Integration not as intuitive as we’d like, but once you have put the time in you can do anything with it
  • Reporting could be more detailed

THE BOTTOMLINE /

ActiveCampaign is a top runner in the email automation space.

With ActiveCampaign there are hundreds of integrations to WordPress, e-commerce, CRMs, payment systems and much more.

ActiveCampaign has a feature set similar to Infusionsoft but without the learning curve and price associated with that platform.

They have substantial support and training and offers getting started webinars, user forum, an active and helpful blog, and one-on-one training.

The blog offers many of the common categories to help small businesses get up and running.

From improving their ability to use the site effectively; to getting better opt-in’s from their campaigns.

The company also has some done-for-you services you can purchase that will help you get up and running without you having to do it yourself. But setup is not that complicated if you have used any other email marketing platform.

Top Features:  Free Trial, No Contract, Can- Spam Compliance, Integrates with over 180 applications.

Company Overview

Editor’s note: This information was taken directly from the company’s page

ActiveCampaign began as a solution for business owners who needed a way to keep in touch with their contacts.

There was demand for a powerful, easy-to-use solution at a reasonable price with a market that lacked options.

To this day, they continue working on this mission and, even as they’ve experienced tremendous growth, they’ve stayed just as focused on fulfilling the needs of their customers.

Perhaps more than most other companies, they listen to what their users want and then use this feedback to guide their development.

Over the years, the company has seen a number of drastic transitions.

At this point, they set a goal: to help marketers send fewer emails while still achieving better results by giving them the marketing automation and automated sales CRM features they need to send intelligent, targeted campaigns.
