Myebook review | Publish and share

Myebook:  Publish and share

Myebook is an all encompassing digital book publishing platform that creates stunning digital books.

From the builder to the proprietary viewer (that can be embedded on your site and/or available as an app), Myebook is a slick service with an easy to follow process.

No software to download as it’s all online.

Unfortunately for me, I’ve been spoiled by instant everything. When I sign up for something I want to use it right away – otherwise I wouldn’t have signed up for it.

After “Applying” for the service, I was greeted with “Thanks, we’ll get back to you” sort of message.

NOPE! I don’t want to talk to anyone I just want to use your service mate!

  • One stop platform
  • Digital and Print On-demand hardcopies
  • Multimedia embedding
  • No automated signup
  • Must go through human “Account Manager”

360º Publishing platform with hand holding (whether you want it or not).

Anyway, the results as far as I can tell from the online examples are by far some of the best I’ve seen.

It’s a typical pdf style player (with pages flowing and all that) but the multi-media features are quite impressive.

From a “Game of Thrones Tour” brochure with moving clouds with lightning to a Motorcycle magazine with embedded video, this is perhaps the best implementation of publishing I have seen.

Features Include:

  • Content can be read on any platform (HTML5)
  • Social Media Integration
  • SEO optimized
  • Real Time Analytics
  • DRM
  • Branded App (Your Branding)
  • Responsive
  • Sell digitally
  • Sell hard copies

Myebook is a service I wanted to love – but lack of automation is killing our buzz.

I want to use the builder, I want to upload my content. If I can’t, even after signing up, I’m going elsewhere.

And there are limited support options for pre-sales support.

So, if you are patient, unlike myself, and if you don’t mind talking to an “account manager” in order to get started, which I do, then maybe this is a good fit for you.

MyEbook at a glance

Lesson here for retailers is this: if you are offering digital products for a digital audience, then why on earth make them jump through analog hoops to get to your offerings?

Either the service and training are adequate for me to use or they are not. Give me a taste THEN upset me but not allowing me to use the product as I’d expect.

Something for Myebook to consider looking at.
